August News & Fundraiser

We’re making a small change to our appearance later this month — those who have complained we’re hard to spot should be happy to hear that we’re getting some very visible signage out front along Kedzie!

We’re excited to be in our third year serving a Persian-inspired tasting menu in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood. Alongside our 8-Course Tasting Menu, you can find items like naz khatun, borani, zeytoon parvardeh, abdoogh khiar, yatimcheh, vegan ghormeh sabzi, adas polo, tahchin morgh, shishlik, kabob torsh, and bastani sonati on our a la carte menu, alongside our specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks like sekanjabin, beer, and wine. We accept walk-ins for our a la carte menu. However, advanced reservations are still required for our 8-Course Tasting Menu.

We were excited to support Chicago Grows Food in July, and we’re hoping to raise even more for Child Foundation this month. For every sekanjabin purchased, we'll donate $1 to Child Foundation.

Child Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) international nonprofit agency that supports underprivileged children to succeed in education and achieve safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

It was founded in 1994 as a nonreligious, nonpolitical charity and has helped tens of thousands of students graduate from high school, college, and university for a better future. Child Foundation serves children worldwide in six countries, with the largest programs in Iran and Afghanistan.

They offer holistic support for children (education, health, food, protection, and counseling) with the goal of with each child helped, it breaks the cycle for them and their future generations. From 2019-2024, they helped over 10,000 individual children. Since their inception, they’ve helped over 5000 students pursue higher education in fields such as medicine and engineering.

Want to support Child Foundation in an even more impactful way? They’re hosting their first Chicago-area fundraiser in Naperville on August 17, 2025.
