Georgian Wine Dinner

Georgian Wine Dinner

We’re hosting a 5-Course Wine Dinner on Wednesday, October 1st!

We’ll be starting off the night with Terra Kisi's Shiraz Rosé Pet-Nat and continuing on with a 5-Course dinner featuring dishes such as our mirza ghasemi (a smoky eggplant dish) paired with Kiketi Farm Wine's Ostkhanuri Sapere .

Georgia is widely considered to be the birthplace of wine—winemaking in what is modern-day Georgia can be traced back 8,000 years and is home to over 525 indigenous grape varieties. Traditional Georgian wines are often produced in large clay amphorae called "qvevri" which are buried underground. These wines are often characterized by their amber color, full-bodied texture, and complex flavors with notes of earth, spice, and sometimes even a slight funkiness. We'll feature some of these traditional wines alongside more "modern" takes.

Joining us will be Kirk and Will Parsons of Parsons Fine Wines to discuss these wines and Georgian wine in general. Kirk Parsons founded Parsons Fine Imports in 2022 and loves being able to educate people about the birthplace of wine. Since his first visit to Georgia in August 2015, he has been deeply inspired by the country's rich history, vibrant culture, and the incredible wines crafted there. Will brings both technical knowledge and genuine passion about wine, and has served as a judge for the Sommeliers Choice Awards in 2024 and 2025. He loves introducing people to the world of Georgian wines.
